Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to maintain, support, and optimize our organization’s network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure reliable network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security measures to protect company data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Ensure network security through firewalls, VPNs, and access points
- Deploy and manage LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and network access
- Upgrade systems and apply patches to maintain performance and security
- Document network configurations, processes, and changes
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues (hardware, software, or configuration-related)
- Collaborate with IT staff and vendors to support infrastructure needs
- Provide technical support to users and IT staff
- Perform root cause analysis after incidents
- Plan for network growth and scalability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5+ years of experience in network administration or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
